FRANKFURT (Dow Jones)--A section within the International Monetary Fund is doubtful that Greece should receive additional financial aid because of the country's "disappointing" reform program and lacking privatization and deficit reduction efforts, German newspaper Die Welt writes Monday, citing top level European Union diplomats.

However, further aid is likely to be extended to Greece because "there is no other alternative," Die Welt cites sources. The newspaper further cites sources saying that Greece would be extended a combination of billions of euros in loans, an extension on the maturity of its debt and a reduction on the interest rates it pays.
